Cost of travelling in a private jet

Initially, private jets were meant only for a few people who could afford them because travelling in a private jet was very costly. Today, almost everyone can afford to travel in a private jet because of cheap private jet charter services which are offered by a large number of companies. The increasing competition has forced all companies to offer travel by private jets at prices which are not very high. Different companies may charge differently. However, most of the companies calculate the cost of travel by a private jet on an hourly basis.

There are several factors that determine private jet charter prices. These are:

• Number of passengers- A large number of passengers reduces the cost of private jet travel.
• Aircraft availability- If there are many private jets available, the cost of travel will be less as compared to when only one or two are available where the cost of travel will be more.
• Aircraft size- This is a major factor for deciding the cost of the travel. If the size of the aircraft is big, it will cost more to travel in a private jet.
• Duration of stay- If a trip is for a long time period, the cost of travel will be more because the overhead expenses of airport landing and service charges will be more.
• Distance of the trip- If a private jet has to travel a long distance, obviously the cost of travel will be more as compared to the cost of travelling a short distance.
